Work with me
Songwriting
Toplines, lyrics and melody for your track, or a song written from nothing in a session together.
Every MOLTENO release starts with a lyric and a melody in a bedroom studio before anyone else touches it, and that is the part most artists get stuck on. A session can be a topline over a track you already have, a lyric rewrite that finally says the thing, or a blank page and an afternoon. Sessions run in person or remotely, and what comes out of them is yours.
ForArtists, producers and writers who have a track and need the song, or a song and need it finished.
Co-production
Taking a demo from a bedroom to a finished record: arrangement, vocals, layering and the handover to mix.
Dream pop lives or dies on the layers: the vocal stacks, the space around the beat, the moment a track opens out. Co-production means working inside your session rather than replacing it, building the arrangement and the vocal production up with you, and preparing the stems properly for a mix engineer. It is the same process behind Element 1 and Element 2, with the same collaborators available when a track needs them.
ForArtists with demos that sound like demos, and producers who want a second pair of ears on vocals and arrangement.
Artist consulting
A plain conversation about releasing music independently: the visual world, the press, the timing, the money.
Nine years of releasing on an independent imprint, with coverage from Clash, Wonderland, Notion and BBC Radio 6 Music, is a lot of learning that nobody hands you. A consulting session looks at where you are and what the next release actually needs: how to build a visual world with designers and photographers on a small budget, how to approach press and radio without a plugger, how to plan an EP campaign, and where the money goes. It is one conversation, with no agency or retainer behind it.
ForIndependent artists planning a release, and anyone about to spend money on a campaign without knowing why.

Tell me what you are making, where it is up to, and what you think it needs. A link to a demo or a release helps.
